My Top 5 Drawbacks of Working From Home

Published by Yolanda under Working at Home

Working from HomeAlthough I love working from home and would not trade it for anything in the world. It does have it’s drawbacks.

I’ve taken the liberty of listing MY drawbacks of working from home.

  1. Constant interruptions (I take waaay too many snack breaks).
  2. Computer Butt :( (I’m beginning to spread in all the wrong places, see #1).
  3. Lifetime TV Network (Need I say more? I love lifetime).
  4. FeedDemon (What can I say? I love my feeds).
  5. Forums (Gotta put myself on a schedule, no more than 10 minutes per forum).

Why Did You Decide To Work From Home?

Home Office
I started my business by accident. I was working in the suburbs, living in the city, and sick of the commute. After a particularly
long four hour commute because of a snow storm, I gave three weeks notice the next day.

My boss asked me to stay until she found someone. I agreed and started my job search (I gave notice before I had a job, I was just fed up).

To make a long story short, she hadn’t found anyone after three weeks and I’d already secured another position. She asked me If I could work weekends to help out until she found someone. I agreed and traveled to my old job every weekend for an additional three weeks.
