5 Things About This Mom
- I’m an ex smoker, I used to smoke 2 packs a day. Quit 3 years ago.
- I can’t sleep in a quiet room, I have to leave the TV on at night.
- I’ve lived in my house for 16 years and the only two neighbors I know are both over 60.
- My sister has always been my best friend.
- I won several Cheerleader trophies when I was younger, now I can’t even walk up the stairs without getting leg cramps

Hi, nice to meet you! I don’t know ANY of my neighbors, but we’ve only lived here 18 months. I still smoke and geez I am impressed that you quit down from 2 packs a day. That’s twice as much as I smoke and I never quit for longer than 3 months
Just dropping in from Mommyfest! It’s nice to meet you!
If you have time this week, check out the MOTHER’S DAY BLOG BASH GIVEAWAY going on at notesfrommynest.blogspot.com…GIVEAWAYS from Serena & Lily, Hand Picked Pumpkin, Modern June, Silly Jilly Bean, Pink Lemonade Bags, My Pink Zebra Boutique, Kenarie’s and many more!
I’m also about to begin a new feature called “Coffee with…” that will put the spotlight on a new mom blogger each week. If you’re interested in being featured, check it out!
Kristen,
I tried to quit several times and never lasted for more than 24 hours
The only reason that I quit was because the price of cigarettes was killing my wallet. The only bad thing about quitting is that I gained 25 pounds after I quit!
Notes From My Nest,
I’ll make sure to stop by and visit. Thanks for stopping by.
I too have to have the TV on at night. Congratulatios on quitting smoking!!!
Thanks Storm
hi! the MAC feels better than the PC. It’s almost impossible to get viruses. The transition was pretty good. The only thing is that you have to buy software specifically for it. But I do love it!
Hi Yolanda,
Still making my way through the blog party blogs at Mommy Fest. I have now been through over 200 WOW. Hope you enjoyed the blog party. Too bad I missed your giveaway opportunity. Nice to meet you.
Glad to hear that you are an ex-smoker…over 3 years now, that’s great! I also can’t sleep in a quiet room. I have to have my radio and a fan on. I used to be a cheerleader too.
Kristine-I’ve been thinking about switching to a mac. I’ve heard that you get less viruses with a mac.
Angie-Wow 200 blogs, I think I’ve visited about 100 and added about 50 to my reader. It’s going to take me a week just to catch up on my reading.
Tishia Lee-I don’t know why I always tell people that I was once a cheerleader, could it be that I can’t let go of my glory days? Ah, to be young again!
