No, I’m not giving away a virtual assistant. I’m giving away three hours of my virtual assistant time to three lucky winners.

Yep, that’s right. I’ll choose three winners and each winner will receive one (1) hour of virtual assistant support.

A Virtual Assistant can accomplish a lot in one hour. Look below to see 30 things a VA can do in an hour.

The Rules

How Long is the Contest Open

Deadline for entry is 9 PM CST Friday May 16, 2008 - (Click here to see what time it is in CST). Winners will be announced Monday May 19 2008.

How it Works

Just post a comment below including your full name, telling me what you’d have me do with your 1 hour if you won. That’s it!

Winners will be chosen by random draw, I’ll pick 3 winners and announce him/her on Monday, May 19th.

If your name is chosen, you MUST claim your prize within 5 days or another winner will be chosen by random draw.

30 Things A VA can do in an hour

  1. Warm call 25-30 prospects.
  2. Phone a minimum of 25 clients for a specific project.
  3. Mail merge 50-100 letters including stuffing and mailing.
  4. Data entry of a minimum of 75 contact in an Excel spreadsheet.
  5. Create correspondence for a client or prospect.
  6. Edit and proof a minimum of a five page report.
  7. Create a basic PowerPoint presentation.
  8. Post 3-4 blog entries to blog (content provided by client).
  9. Update and manage your calendar.
  10. Research for a specific project.
  11. Research a few venues to visit on your trip, along with directions to get to them from your hotel.
  12. Proofread a narrative of up to seven pages.
  13. Type handwritten notes from a seminar.
  14. Submit a press release to 5-10 sites.
  15. Submit an article to 5-10 sites.
  16. Do follow-up research on a client, prospect, applicant, or competitor.
  17. Book your flight, hotel, and/or rental car reservations.
  18. Make calls to confirm your appointments, engagements, or reservations.
  19. Delete spam accumulated in your e-mail overnight, and sort, answer, or redirect remaining messages.
  20. Convert document files to PDF format.
  21. Build a custom spreadsheet.
  22. Create a fillable form.
  23. Stuff, seal, label and stamp a bulk mailing.
  24. Collate and label personalized packets for your seminar or presentation.
  25. Update an old wordprocessed file to reflect your company’s new color, logo, font, etc, standards.
  26. Research possible vendors of a service or product you seek.
  27. Create PDF’s for numerous company documents, whitepapers, charts, etc.
  28. Listing Assistance for classes, workshops, seminars, webinars, teleclasses, etc.
  29. Customer Service Support (email inquiries).
  30. Typing show notes for podcast.

Please note that each project is unique. This list shows actual project examples as they pertain to a particular project and serve as a guideline only. This is a sampling of what a VA can do.

    I’d also like to see the list of things that can be done in an hour ( that page is empty).
    I am almost positive I have tasks that could be handled by a VA. Nice blog theme- Lara did mine design also.
