How Much Is Too Much?

Published by Yolanda at 11:41 pm under Blogging, Goals, Working at Home

Working at HomeAs I was “blog hopping” today, I came upon a work at home mom blog. (to protect the innocent, we’ll call her blogger girl) ”Blogger Girl” had an informative and interesting blog, in fact, I added it to my favorites.  “Blogger Girl” also had a tab at the top of her blog (like the ones you see at the top of mine), her tab said “Sites I Own”.

Well, being the nosy curious person that I am, I counted the sites listed.  Twenty Five links to twenty five work at home sites, with names like work at home this, work at home that.  All of the sites were geared towards working at home.  Now, I’m not trying to bash ”Blogger Girl” or dog her out.  I’m just wondering how much is too much, at what point do we stop?  Are we making money or losing money? I know you have to spend money to make money but for goodness sake, where do we stop?

I visited some of the links at “Blogger Girl’s” sites and some of the sites had not been updated since 2006, one of the blogs was just a HELLO WORLD! wordpress page.

I remember not too long ago when I was obsessed with starting a work at home website and I wound up buying 6 domain names because I couldn’t decide what I wanted the website to be about.  It happens to us all.

I have since let all the domains expire and moved on.  I’m more focused now (laser focused they call it).  I know where I want to to be a year from now and how I want to make my money.  I don’t want to spend it updating a slew of websites, in fact as soon as I’m done with this post I plan on writing out my goals for 2008.  Want to know what will be at the top of my list?  Don’t buy a zillion domains!
